96 Cherokee Country Dash lights--+-- 10-24-2007, 10:47 PM I was driving along the other day to work, and low and behold my dash lights decide they don't want to work. I figured it was an easy fix, possibly a blown fuse. I checked all of the fuses under the dash and also the ones under the hood. I really am not sure which fuse is for the dash lights, seeing as I don't have an owners manual. I replaced any blown fuses and my dash lights still wont work. My tail/brake/parking/head lights still work, as well as my radio and everything else electrical in the car as far as I know. I haven't really delt to much with the electrical aspect of cars, so im really at a road block here. Any help is appreciated. Details will definately help. Thanks a lot. brainyass 11-05-2007, 11:53 AM Here is the info for my '93, maybe it will help. If not, take off the instrument cluster bezel and check for a blown bulb. FUSE # 15 - 15 Amp (Lt. Blue) Instrument Panel Lamps, Clock, Radio/Clock & Memory, Headlamp Switch, Parking Lamps. citizen@large 11-05-2007, 01:40 PM Did you try smacking it back on? Really worked for me once. --+-- 11-11-2007, 05:17 PM Ha. Ill try both guys. Thanks. And if not she's a going to the shop. :-( citizen@large 11-11-2007, 09:21 PM Whoa. Whoa, Whoa... ! There are several bulbs poked in the back of that bezel. The odds of all of them going out all at once is pretty slim I would think. Perhaps you wheeled the ol' gyrl a bit and shook the connecting harness a little loose? (Thus the smacking) ~Good Luck! ,and please keep us posted... --+-- 11-12-2007, 06:26 PM The fuse is fine. I replaced it just to be sure. And no luck. Ill check the connecting harness next. --+-- 11-27-2007, 04:09 PM I had a buddy come and look at it. He says it's the dimmer switch. I ordered a new one. Should be working shortly. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
