Oil pan, 2003 Tributerekcaj 10-24-2007, 08:28 PM My oil change guy told me my oil pan is cracked and it would cost $500 to replace it. It drips a few drops a day on the garage floor. Is he giving me a line of bull? Is it hard to do it myself? AlohaBra 11-08-2007, 09:19 AM Can you see the crack? You might be able to JB Weld it (it is an epoxy). drexqd 02-19-2008, 10:03 AM My oil change guy told me my oil pan is cracked and it would cost $500 to replace it. It drips a few drops a day on the garage floor. Is he giving me a line of bull? Is it hard to do it myself? I have a similar problem. Not sure if mine is cracked or if the seal is busted. It only leaks a few drops a day. I was going to try and fix it, but it looks like you have to remove some of the exhaust to get the oil pan off. Not something I want to do considering I'm about to trade it in. danielsatur 04-06-2008, 10:51 PM I would drain oil myself and Try some Mighty puddey!:grinyes: I think PepBoys sells Liquid Metal near the sealents + Permatex stuff.:smokin: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
