I Have A 2005 Mabilu Maax And It Doesn't Start On The First Try. It Takes Three Or Four Try's Atleast Twice A Week. When You Turn It Over It Acts Like It Is Going To Catch, But It Seems Like It Just Chokes Up And Then Quits. I Don't Know Where To Start... Someone Please Help...... :)

BAttery. right now where you live is it cold or warm. Check what is the cold crank power in the battery you have

Try this, cycle the key to run for 5 to 10 sec, then off for 10 sec. Then to run for 5 sec, then try to start, if it starts right up then you have a fuel pump issue. Maybe even a filter that is plugged

Nope, it's a PCM programming glitch, that I've asked the dealer to look at on my '04 Maxx repeatedly. After a few years of research and numerous reprograms, it's apparently not fixable.
Mine does it 3-4 times a month, which other forums report as the norm You'll just have to grin and bear it, although yours does seem to do it a lot more than the norm.
As an aside, if you haven't replaced the battery, get ready to. Mine lasted 2 1/2 years, and that's pretty typical of the batteries in new GM vehicles.

My o4 malibu hard starts once in awhile when parked a few minutes. I tried 2 software up dates and just a little better.
I have a 99 Sonoma with factory battery, 53 K, my 04 malibu 3 yrs 7 months from factory, 31 K same battery.

None of my recent Delco batteries ('96 Monte Carlo, '98 Malibu and now the '04 Maxx) has made it to the 3-year mark. Probably has to do with the climate (South Florida), but northern extremes are likely just as bad.

You are right it is the heat, we got three 90 deg days last summer. We will see -20 this winter.
