Replacing stop light is done inside the trunk area. Remove cover in trunk where light is located, it should pop off. Bulb socket should twist out.

I just took apart my 3rd brake light in my 94 Camry to clean it. All I had to do was grab the plastic cover from the rear shelf (in the car) and snap it off. Then, I removed 2 screws and the whole unit was dismantled and able to be cleaned.
