93 S-10 Blazer - rear won't open

I just purchased an old 93 S-10 Blazer, and the rear won't open. The lock cylinder is missing AND the glass won't pop open with the release button in front.

Is there a way to get to the inside of the rear gate without it being open, and is there a common fix for this. I don't see any screws or anything for removal of the interior panel on the rear gate in order to remove from the inside.

or is there any other things I should look for for getting the glass to pop open. I don't care so much about the tailgate opening, but I would like to be able to pop the glass.

ight so you have a push button opened right what you have to do is have someone push in on the rear glass and you press the button this should unlock the glass and for the back latch no lock cylinder if you can see in there you should be able to see a circle thing with a notch in it take a screwdriver and try and turn that circle and wiggle the back hatch if this does nto work message me i will tell you in more detail

the push button does nothing, it doesn't pop the glass currently. I just hear silence and nothing happens when pushing the button.

The inside of the "missing lock cylinder" location has been pretty beat up from the last owner trying to use a screw driver, I don't know if that will work too well anymore.

lol...yes, fuses are fine

the wiring appears fine connected to the back of the button. I think it has to do with the connection in the tailgate. I don't know how to even get inside there without being able to open the back, it seems like the screws or whatever are holding the panel on, are hidden along the sides when it is closed.

no, it's a flat panel all the way across from side to side, no visible screws, latches, seams, or anything
