Audio system question

Well, I'm finally tired of the home speakers in the back. I'm buying some new ones for the car. I was wondering, are the $20 walmart Durabrand ones gonna be better than the almost 20 year old paper ones? What size are the back ones? I've got 3.5 for the front. Also, I was wanting some bass, where would a good place be for an amp? I was gonna put the woofer in the middle of the back floor (where it rises up) are there any better locations?

Are there more than the 4? The front two in the dash and the back two in the rear window? Just wondering, lol.

Theres also the tweeters in the doors.I dont think there are speakers in the dash, mine has mids in the lower door panels and tweets around the seat controls.

I just took the covers off and measured. 3.5" in the dash (yes, on my 1990 Delta 88 Royal Brougham there in the dash??) and 6x9" in the back. They sound better, but for one problem...now I've got -0- bass? So I bought an amp, i don't have that underwater sound now, but still less thump than the originals. I'll have to get a woofer I guess...I just don't have room. I need the back seat for the trays of baked items I transport for work...just a few buildings away but I'm not about to carry two trays of food for a half mile, and if I were to drop a cake on the walk over just for a little bass, well, the head chef would hang me up by my toes.
