98 Neon Horn location ??FredA 10-19-2007, 12:47 PM Hi All, I have a 98 SOHC Neon. My daughter was in a very slight fender-bender (with almost no damage). But since then, the horn does not work. I tried to do some trouble-shooting, and found that the relay clicks, but the horn doesn't blow. My guess is that the connection to the horn was damaged, or became loose. The embarrasing thing is that I can't find the horn under the hood. Can someone please help and tell me where I should look for it ? Also, does it even look like the old horns from yester-year (conch shapped) ? Thanks !! denisond3 10-20-2007, 09:59 AM The horn is probably round, with a large opening, but the bell shaped tops are now fairly flat tops. I think it will be either ahead of the engine compartment tucked away inside the front bumper, or inside one of the fenders - and hidden by the ABS plastic inner fender liner. I would go and look on our 97 Neon, but it has finally rained, and the ground is sopping wet. Try using a flashight and small mirror to see around corners in the bumper with the hood open. Then try pulling a corner of the inner fender liner away and shining a flashlight up into one of the fenders. wafrederick 10-20-2007, 06:42 PM Could be the clockspring too and their is test.Does the cruise control work?If the cruise control does work, horn does not work either which the clockspring is bad FredA 10-21-2007, 08:51 AM Thanks guys...I found it. It was tucked behine the front left fender, under the battery. I had to access it through the wheel-well. It was crushed from my daughter's slight accident. I replaced it over the weekend, and everything is good to go. Thanks for all your help !! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
