Creaking from underneath and RPM Spaz

I'm having a problem with the Jimmy. It's a 2001 2 door, and whenever I'm accelerating, I hear a constant creaking noise from underneath. It's only when it squats though. Just cruising, I don't hear it, but when I hit the gas, it creaks. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Also, whenever the RPMs go above 4,000, The gauge starts to jump between 4 and 6k, and sometimes I can hear a pop from underneath the hood. I'm assuming a misfire and I need a tune-up?

the creaking is most likely from the sway bar bushings. a foaming silicon spray like Liquid Wrench is a good temporary fix, for a day or two.

I drove by my mechanic's shop last night after I got out of work, and luckily he was still there, so I had him listen to the noise and he said that there's no doubt in his mind that it's the U-Joints. He's heard the noise a million times before lol. It's odd though, because we've checked the driveshaft before and it didnt seem like it was moving at all, but maybe we did it wrong.

Thanks for responding though!
