New CivicHeep 02-27-2001, 04:26 PM Civics have long been good looking, inexpensive, and overall great cars for your money. However, in my opinion, Honda really screwed up with the new Civic. I looks somewhat like a Ford Focus, and they apparently discontinued the Civic hallmark, the hatchback. What do you think about the new car compared to the older ones? Robs944S 02-28-2001, 01:01 AM i think the rear taol lights look like a Taurus SolReaver 02-28-2001, 10:43 AM is there a picture of it? justin@af 02-28-2001, 12:34 PM U can just go to http://www.honda.com to see a pic of the new civic GirlRacer15 03-19-2001, 04:00 PM I like the old models better, the new 2k1 is too boxy, it looks like a focus. GOD 03-19-2001, 09:54 PM Originally posted by GirlRacer15 I like the old models better, the new 2k1 is too boxy, it looks like a focus. Tru they are really really "UGLY" ...thats just what comes to mind when i see one and honda made a mistake when it decided to go with that kind of styling civicdude 03-23-2001, 09:24 AM I agree with everyone...The 2k1 Civic is ugly. Looks just like the rear of the civic. Honda lost a large percent of there customers this year with the introduction of the 2k1 civic. I was planning to get another civic until I saw the new one. Now I am planning to buy a 2002 Nissan Sentra SER Vspec...in September when they come out. Just think next year Honda is supposed to release the new Si...that car is gonna be Fugly.....Honda should defenitly bring the Hatchback back. civicdude 04-03-2001, 08:20 AM I went to the Honda dealer this past weekend to look at a 99 Accord v6 coupe. I walk into the showroom and there was a milano red 2k1 civic coupe with ROH silver Reflex rims, Pinstripping, a spoiler and foglights. The sticker on the car was $18,500, with all the extras they put on it they wanted $22,500. I almost fell down...Laughing that is. What are they thinking $22,500 for a new civic...Its a civic cmon. So I walk up to the car and the sales man comes over and asks me if I need help. So I am looking at the back of thecar and I say...I didnt know that Honda was selling the FOCUS...He just looked at me and said they dont thats the Civic...and I said I know. I finally got my first look under the hood at the 1.7, what are they thinking. There is no room to do anything. I cant even see how someone is going to be able to do an aftermarket intake. There is a gap from the inner fender to the inside of the engine compartment. It looks so crappy. It looks like Honda forgot to put something there....It just doesnt look nice at all. You have to see it to know what I am talking about. The only thing I like about the new civic has to be the seats. They were pretty comfortable. Even the dashboard is ugly. I wonder how they are going to improve the looks and performance of the new Si? sageuvagony 07-07-2003, 04:33 AM I thought I was the only one that thought this lol... its so true...
