Hi I have a 1989 fleetwood 60 special 4.5l. trany is going out and i have a wrecked 1991 deville that has the 4.9l in it wanted to know if this trany would bolt right up inplace of the one on the 4.5l could some one steer me in the right direction of what is possible I would greatly apreatiate it . It should. I'm pretty sure both cars used the 4T60-E transmission. The 4.5 and the 4.9 share the same block, so the bolt pattern is the same.

Careful here it is possible the 91 is pcm controlled and the 89 is not, look into this first.

Ok i was looking at it yesterday the 4.9l trany does have some eletrical conections that are not on the 4.5l one so this must mean i need to find a diffrent trany then dosent it ?
