I live in Missouri and am looking at buying a 2000 5.4L F150 4wd pickup.
The truck is licensed in California and I assume it was manufactured to California emission requirements.
Understandably, local mechanics do not know if there are many differences (if any) between California emission standards and Missouri.
If there are a lot of differences, I am concerned about getting service from local independent mechanics.
Can anyone tell me if there are many differences and if they are significant?
Thanks
Randy

I personally do not know, but what I would do is look in a shop manual for it and see if they have different sections for Calf. and non-Calf. versions of the engine.
One of the manuals for one of my cars is split into N. American, Calf., and Canada, for the different versions it was made into.
