Manual Transmission Fluid Level969C1 10-15-2007, 09:08 PM Hi guys, I just bought a '92 Rodeo 5 speed and would like to check what my transmission fluid is at. I assume its under the car and its a drainplug? Let me know, thanks, Adam Andie_J 10-19-2007, 10:45 PM :) Best I remember it has both a drain and a fill plug, If its full of fluid it should just dribble out of the fill plug. The transfer case is the same. Andie:) Gizmo42 10-20-2007, 01:48 AM Not sure if you have the MUA5 or the Borg Warner transmission. On the MUA5 the fill plugs for the trans and t-case are both on the passenger side, on the side of the trans and t-case about half way up. Drain plug for the trans is on the end of the trans (pointing towards the rear axle) on the drivers side and t-case drain is on the bottom of the t-case. At least thats how they are on my 2nd gen. To check the levels park on a flat surface, remove the fill plugs, if fluid dribbles out its full. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
