Strange turn light electrical problem

Hi

I have a strange problem with my P10. Sometimes when im driving the right hand side turn light comes on without me using the selector. It does not blink it's just cionstantly on. During this time I can still use the left hand side as normal.

When I tried it with the engine turned off in my parking lot. The instrument light turned on slightly dimmed. The right hand side lights flashed and the glovecompartment light flashed together with the turn lights.

I'm going frustrated regarding this problem, hope someone has a solution or idea whats causing the problem.

I have also had problems with the tachometer and the AAC valve.

Congratulations, you have a short somewhere. Good luck finding it and taking care of it (i know from first hand experience how nasty the smell of burning wires and smoke filling up the car can be, I also know how quickly someone can jump out of the car, open the hood, and remove the battery leads without any tools  - so you want to take care of that asap).

Yesterday I solved the problem....After tearing out the entire dashboard the problem could be traced to the electrical outlet at the tow hook (gee wonder why I didn't check it out first?). One of the pins in the connector had been pressed into the connector.

Anyway, the lesson learnt is as always not to overlook the obvious.

Congratulations! Good job!

If I had the hook I'd have looked there first as it's the most exposed part ;) :D
