'91 Pathfinder SErenchhednot 10-12-2007, 03:09 PM Hi all- I just bought a '91 Pathfinder SE for $900. It is in great shape with 145,000 miles. I will send pics when I can get them downloaded. It has a couple of minor fixes. The rear wiper seems to want to stay straight up and down and wont easily retract to its base. I do not have a manual and I cant find the switch to use that rear wiper. Does anyone know where it is? denisb 10-12-2007, 06:21 PM If you mean the switch to turn the wipers on and off, it's below the instrument cluster next to the auto tranny power switch (if auto tranny). That would be on the right hand side of the steering column. One click usually turns it on and if you keep it pressed it will pee on the window. I never liked mine, never knew if it was on or off. Oh and if your rear window is open or the switch is stuck on, the wiper wont work. Denis renchhednot 10-18-2007, 05:24 PM denisb- thanks for the reply. I found the switch for the rear wiper and it works fine except you guys are right you never know when it is on or off. I got it moving but the problem is that the wiper arm comes in contact with the rear window handle and stops. I figured if I put in a winter blade it would be thicker and then clear the latch. Napa didnt have an 11" fat blade. Is there a problem with the arm assembly to where I could put in a spacer to bring it out so the blade could actually move back and forth? denisb 10-18-2007, 07:24 PM Have you tried bending the arm? You might be able to get enough to clear. I don't have the old girl anymore so I can't go out and check to see what it looks like. Do you have pics? It might be the wrong arm or something. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
