96 grand Prix Brake issues... please helpcperrott2006 10-11-2007, 11:38 PM Alright... I am a college student so I am working with a very tight budget.... I recently noticed my 96 Grand Prix SE had some brake issues.... I almost had to stand on my brakes in order for me to get stopped.... My PCV vacuum line had a leak in it.... When I completely stood on the brakes I could feel my wheels lock up and I would skid to a stop..... When the wheels would lock up the Low Trac light would come on.... I had the vacuum line fixed as well as new brakes and rotors put on all around..... The problem still exist.... What could possibly be the problem or what is next????? Could it be the ABS Relay Sensor? Please give me some advice so I can get my baby back to stopping normally.... richtazz 10-12-2007, 10:24 AM welcome to AF Do you feel the ABS kicking in (the pedal will vibrate under your foot)? Or is the pedal hard as a rock, like you have no power assist? cperrott2006 10-12-2007, 11:13 PM It's def not hard... I almost have to stand on the brakes in order to get stopped... I have had the brakes bleed and that didn't change anything tblake 10-12-2007, 11:54 PM did you check and see if you have a brake fluid leak somewhere? Maybe just check the resivore and see how low it is. Does the pedal feel spongy? cperrott2006 10-13-2007, 12:54 PM Yes the pedal feels spongy...... I am having a guy hook it up to an ABS scanner sometime this week...... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
