Why would you want to burn up your money and your truck?
Just for the sake of making a little noise and smoke?

give it alot of gas before you let up on the clutch when you have it in first gear then ease out on the clutch while still having it to the floor once you get out soo far on ur clutch your tires will start spinning then slam the gas to the floor and it should burn out pretty good! i have a 2.5 liter and its very easy to do lol

drive in reverse a good little bit and put it in first floor it and dump the clutch hold her to the floor till you feel you must shift then snatch second fun fun fun if you wanna leave a nice dark line just hit the brakes a little bit once it starts to move forwards play with the brake if you want to sit still and just roast em or if you wanna leave a couple feet of rubber just let out on it a little bit have fun this is only if your brave or have confidence in your truck i wouldnt do it unless you have a back up vehicle cus you never know what could happen my s10 will do it all day now but ive had my own share of incidences make sure your motor mounts are good. let me know how it goes:wink: try to get somebody out there with a video camera.

It's against the law but, for all the wrong reasons.
I consider it intentional vehicle abuse and a potentially costly stunt.
But by all means, feel free to knock yourself out ...... sure it's cool and it been going on for years however, if you understood the mechanics of it all, it would make you shudder.

its called fun. if you payed for the vehicle and want to do burn outs with it go right ahead theres nothing wrong with it a trucks a truck you can get another one but i understand it really takes a toll on your stuff but i say you cant put a price on fun you only live once.

assuming you have the 2.2L 4banger, i would have to say put some tranny fluid(or insert lubricant of choice here) under the tires and heel toe it till they spin. this is not reccomended for what should be obvious reasons, but like drew said, you only live twice. As for my 98 s-10 2.2 5spd, i don't do burnouts, but it came with 4.10 gears, and so far a good clutch. can get up and go pretty quick, but has no guts after 2nd...can break it loose in 1st if i try, get a real good scratch going into 2nd, and if i have crappy tires like i do now, can get a little chirp going into 3rd. But you do NOT want to have to put a clutch in that thing, trust me.
