1993 - Driver's side floor board has small holes1993capriceclassic 10-06-2007, 11:12 AM Hi everyone, I have a 1993 caprice classic LS that is in very good condition except for a problem I noticed today....the driver's side floor board is soft - not the entire section, rather a section 6 inches by 6 inches - with a couple of small holes. The carpet is in very good condition - no sign of wear or dampness. I would like to repair this before it becomes a bigger issue...my first thought is to crawl underneath the car and apply a thorough coating of black tar. I have used tar over the years to solve various minor car issues..from a hole in the trunk of a 5th avenue to a completely new floor (over the new floor) in a 1978 Buick Lesabre - sport edition. As I really do not want to remove the carpeting and cut out the rotten section of floor I think the tar option would be the most practical. Any thoughts, ideas and/or other solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, silicon212 10-06-2007, 01:42 PM Depends on how extensive the rust issue is - replacing the bad section might be your only choice. deesandvees 10-07-2007, 10:36 AM You're gunna end up like the Flintstones. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
