Power window don't workwindstarharv 10-04-2007, 09:38 PM I have a 98 Windstar and the passenger side window does not operate anymore. Are there some fuses I could check or is the motor shot? puumalad 10-05-2007, 10:25 AM Not of any help, but I have a '98 and the same window doesn't work. I haven't taken the time to investigate it yet, though. Dale wiswind 10-06-2007, 07:17 PM I have problems with the window on the passenger side. Each window has it's own 30amp fuse in the panel by the driver's left foot. I replaced the motor and gear assembly (bought from rock auto) and it worked for a while.....then stopped. I find that if I take the door panel off, and fiddle with the 3 bolts that hold the motor/gear assembly in...that it will work for a few days.... I have tried adding grease to the regulator slides....with no change. I did post pictures, that the link in my signature takes you to, that show the replacement process for changine the motor / gear unit. You have to drill out 3 holes in the metal inner door to get to the bolts. puumalad 10-08-2007, 02:59 PM I checked my '98 manual this weekend and I couldn't find any reference to any of the internal fuses (by your foot) being for the power windows. Am I missing something that's staring me right in the face? The only fuse that I could find labeled for power windows was a single 30A fuse under the hood (I assume for both windows). Dale wiswind 10-10-2007, 09:31 PM On my '96, other years may be different Fuse 34 Left (driver side) power window 30 amp Fuse 40 Right (Passenger side) power window 30 amp Fuse 6 both rear quarter power windows 15 amp vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
