harmonic balancer bolt removal

I have been been trying to remove the harmonic balancer bolt on my 1990 toyota pu with no luck. have done the starter turn, have used the impact wrench, have tried heating the bolt and it is still froze. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Have been working on this bolt for 2 days. In addition to the question......is this bolt a reverse thread?? Wondering if thats where Im going wrong.

turn counter clockwise spray some lubricant on it turn up the psi and hold the trigger. let it fill back up and do it again

You can also try and use like a 3 prong pulley and try to get it off that way.

He's gotta get the bolt off first before he can use the puller...which should be a bolt-on puller. The claw type can bend or break the lip off the pulley, which can cause damage to the belt. Even worse if you break the TDC mark off.

Remove the flywheel cover and wedge a large screwdriver into the flywheel. I'd use a breaker bar over an impact wrench since it's not recommended to rotate the engine opposite the normal direction. That bolt is torqued to 116 ft-lbs, so you'll need some help...in the form of a pipe extension. Good luck!

First of all I hope you know you need to remove the main bolt before you try to use a pully puller.Are you using air tools?if not atleast find & borrow/purchase an electric impact wrench you will not regret it it will be the best tool purchase you can make if you dont have an air comp. it will do about every thing you need to on a vehicle including changing tires. But do not buy one of those cheap cig. lighter ones.As for direction of threads it is standard cut "lefty loosey-righty tighty" & if an impact is not in the budget then remove the starter & have some one else hold a pry bar or tire iron LG.screw driver on the fly wheel that will do it.
