Hey there....my family has a 1990 Chevy 1500. The slave cylinder has already been changed, and we're trying to figure out how to bleed it now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes they can be a pain to bleed. Here's what I have done. Top off the reservoir, hold the pedal half way down with the screw open and let it gravity bleed for a while. Or bleed it like you bleed brakes. Or try pumping the pedal several times with the valve closed and then hold the pedal down and crack the screw open. This may need to be repeated several times.

Thanks for the reply. We've tried the methods you mentioned, and even changed out the clutch slave and master cylinders, and also the line, but there still seems to be air in the lines. Can you think of anything that might be the problem?

Did you change them because they were leaking? Why does it seem to still have air in the lines, what symptoms are you having?
