'92 Grand AM Transmission IssuesPeacheZ 09-27-2007, 03:23 PM My cousin owns a 92 Pontiac Grand AM 3.3L and is have a problem with her tranny. Simple diagnosis...it leaks. A LOT! My first throught by looking under it was the gasket and filter. So I changed that. It was still leaking. I checked the seals for it and they were not damaged or leaking. The transmission doesn't appera to be cracked on the sides or on the bottom, but I haven't had the time to drop the transmission to check the top. I tried a transmission sealer and the it still leaks but only about a couple of drop every 5-7seconds, and only when it's running. Any ideas? I've been working on this for the last three days and I'm about to light a match and walk away. :P OH! I've also been looking for a transmission for it online, for the fact that it may be cracked and I can't find any auto-parts shot that even recognizes a 3.3L engine. xeroinfinity 10-03-2007, 11:48 AM Probley the trans lines are rustd out or the trqans case is cracked somewhere. Realy hard to see anything under there without having it up on a lift. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
