This car was running, then suddenly stopped. The car turn's over but I do not get any spark. Also I took the distributer cap off and the rotar does spin when The car turns over.

timing belt failure would be one cause

If the rotor spins, your timing belt is ok.

Check the cord from the ignition coil to the distributor first to see if it's open. If it is, replace it. If it's good, then check the coil.
