Recently purchased a 2000 Grand Am, and took it to get smogged. It failed with an error code referring to the Air Injector.

I took it to the mechanic and he showed me that all the air pump hoses are misisng from the air pump and won't pass smog.

My question is do you think I should get all the hoses first and than see if the airpump is messed up or get the air pump with all the hoses.

Second the hoses are like 100.00 special order from the pontiac dealer. Are there any aftermarket hoses I can buy online?

If your car already has the air pump then you just would need the hoses.
Someone probly just took them off trying to improve performance :rolleyes: doesnt work like that.

They are deal parts as far as I know, as with many other hoses on these models.
