Just to let everybody know, my 97 voyager had problems running in limp mode and the speedometer dropping. It started happening every once in a while and then went out on me. I thought I had transmission trouble but after being on this site and some advice from people (thanks RIP), I replaced the output speed sensor. I went to Auto Zone first and they didn't have the part but quoted me a $50 price. I then went to Oreilly and got the part for $18 and replaced it myself. It seems to have fixed the problem so if you have the same symptoms try this before anything else.
