95 Yukon hesitationthunder337 09-21-2007, 10:56 AM Need some direction! 95 yukon 4x4 hesitates at acceleration. Usually when trying to take off from a stop light it falls on its face. It doesnt do it all the time but when it does it feels like its gonna die, hit the pedal a few times and eventually it will go. Theres NO check engine light on either and of course it wouldnt act up for my technician. Hoping someone has seen this and has an answer. Thanks in advance! taillight 09-21-2007, 11:45 AM Did they pull any trouble codes ? Check fuel pressure. thunder337 09-21-2007, 07:40 PM No there isnt any codes which doesnt help the matter. It really doesnt run bad except for the initial take off. taillight 09-22-2007, 09:35 AM Check the fuel pressure. Clean the throttle plate on the back side and clean the IAC. handy1219 10-20-2007, 08:22 PM The very First Tune Up and mechanic in the bottle you can get is - Chevron Techron. The staff is being sold @ such stores like Pep Boys, K-mart, Napa, walmart. It is a black color bottle and you must get the "Fuel System Cleaner, they are being sold for 20 gal & 12 gal tanks, so you will need to by one of each, since your tank is 30 GAL. The entire world knows about the Chevron, even in Japan & Russia, believe me. Has to put the liquid on near to empty tank and add the good quality gas - like Amoco. Second application might give the extra benefits. Try & let me know please... Also disassemble the entire air intake staff and clean it nicely, check the filter. The cold Air Intake might boost you another 10 to 15 HP. Good Luck! VoCS 10-20-2007, 10:25 PM I'm assuming you did the simple stuff already like change fuel and air filters? thunder337 10-21-2007, 10:37 AM Thanks for the replies. It gets real bad after about 30 minutes now and gets warmed up, then it idles bad and runs terrible. This is new and getting worse. handy1219 10-21-2007, 11:09 AM OK Now, really try to do something cheap, before you will decide to do a big and costly job on your vehicle. Follow the links below and note, that these two products are essential for the used engines as well as for the entire fuel supply system . Check it out, buy it, use it and let me know later... http://www.chevron.com/products/prodserv/fuels/additives/concentrate_plus.shtml http://www.restoreusa.com/ P.S. a) The Chevron work you will feel on the second tank, or if not-second application might require. b) Restore kicks in after the 500 first miles. Both of these liquids work just fine! No B/S. Try. maxwedge 10-21-2007, 03:15 PM You really need to check fuel pressure here first, as recommended, 60-65 psi. Handy1219, isn't Restore supposed to help with worn bores and rings to cut down oil consumption?, this doesn't seem to be the issue with this truck, agreed? handy1219 10-21-2007, 09:26 PM You really need to check fuel pressure here first, as recommended, 60-65 psi. Handy1219, isn't Restore supposed to help with worn bores and rings to cut down oil consumption?, this doesn't seem to be the issue with this truck, agreed? ************************************************** ******** Absolutely, as well as to even the pressure between all 8 cylinders, since the "Restore" consist of the small metal copper and led partials, which during the high temperatures and friction filling up the leaks between the pistons and the cylinder walls and as greatly shown on the site: http://www.restoreusa.com/ during many tests with different cars and engines restores the power and removes the hesitation due to the even pressure after about 500 miles. Checked it myself - it does work and the product is great - not like the <<snake oil> products. Very ofter "Chevron/Techron" - an amazing product opens the clogged nozzles of the injectors which helps with hesitation as well, so from my understanding you have to try first of all the simple (not expensive) things b4 spending high amount of money on the costly repair...
