I need to inspect the horn contacts in the steering wheel. What is the procedure to disarm the airbag?

Well, You have to remove the negtive cable from the battery then go to the driver side open the door and where the fuse panel is remove the fuse for the air bags then along the fuses there a connection blue with a yellow pin disconnect those the reinstall the negtive cable to the battery put the key on (DON'T START THE CAR) the air bag sign should blink for a few second then it should go away if it does you disarmed it . if not well, you need a certifed person to do that (by the way mines 98 I don't think that system changes right ) Ok if everthing goes right once your going to reinstall the air bags same thing take the negtive cable off reconnect the fuse and the connection then put the negtive back and the airbag should blink then go off (before i forget while your working on the car keep the negtive cable off the only time you put it on the battey is to check if you have disarm it or arm it also when your done
