I am having difficulty with my 2000 JXi convertible with the 2.5L engine. First it would start then stall out within seconds. (repeatedly)Try it again and it may or may not do the same thing. Eventually it wouldn't start at all. Won't even crank, although I have full electrical. I have pulled all the small fuses and they seem fine. I'm thinking distributor, but have no idea where it is or even what to look for on it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

First find out what you are missing. Fuel or spark ? Pull off a spark plug wire and put in an old spark plug in the wire. With the shell of the plug grounded, crank the enging and watch for spark. Get a fuel pressure guage and install it on the fuel rail. Crank the engine and see if you have the proper pressure. Let us know and we can go from there.
