2001 grand am dies when i hit a decent sized bump

2001 pontiac grand am se, 4cyl, i will be driving down the road and hit a decent sized bump, and then the car dies, it will die as if i turn the car off because the door locks wills open when it happens, but every time as i am still moving put car in nuetral and if fires right back up, throw it in drive and away i go till the next bump, any help would be appreciated?

If I were you, I would find a smoother road to drive! :lol: Seriously, you should check the battery under load and inspect the cables for corrosion & tightness. If you have the side terminals, they are notorious for loosing contact between the two "piggyback" positive cables. All grounds must also be clean & tight! Also, check the PCM wiring connector for tightness,where it connects to the PCM.

i am sorry but there are no smooth roads where i live here in wisconsin, just kidding but thanks for the tips, i will check that stuff out this weekend and let you know how it went
