had transmission rebuilt 400 mi ago. Now the car will not start. Have changed fuel pump, fuel pump relay, and crankshaft position sensor. After each item was changed car would run but then stall out and not restart. when attempting to start fuel pump is not turning on. any help would be appreciated.

Are you getting 12 volts to the fuel pump when you turn the key to start ?

It is reading around 8 volts at the connection

Needs 12 +. You must have a bad connection or relay droping voltage.

would a bad ground connection cause the voltage drop? It has a new fuel pump relay installed. Where else would I have a bad connection or did the transmission shop pinch a wire bundle somewhere?

Sounds like the pinch could be shorting. Good place to look at anything they did.

You have a loose connection someplace. With your voltmeter work from the pump to the relay and to the fuse and see where you are loosing the voltage.

I have 12.27 volts at battery and 11.2 volts where fuel pump connects

That is to much voltage loss. Get a wiring diagram(Haynes) and follow the fuel pump wire to where you still have over 12 volts and where you have less than 12 volts. It will be in between those 2 points.
