start by replacing your spark plugs and wires. normally a misfire is due to spark plug wires getting old and not being able to carry a spark, or your spark plug wires are "past their prime". that normall will fix that problem, your worst case scenario would be the ignition coil.

Year, engine, mileage?
Do the water test. With a water bottle spray the wires and coil area, if it arcs over then theres your problem. If the plugs haven't been serviced in a while then I'd replace them as well as the wires. If it hasn't been that long then swap the plug on cyl 2 to another cyl see if the miss follows the plug. If you do end up swapping it check it for proper gap and the color of the ceramic/porcelin. It should be tan, black indicates running rich if thats your problem clean it and run some cleaner through the tank, if high mileage vehicle you could have a leaky injector.
