2007 Accord LXaldosterone 09-10-2007, 08:24 PM I wish any of you could help me. My accord has about 2000 miles right now, however, I hear a small continuous popping sound ( it sounds like a helicopter hovering over me) at the stop sign and idling after the car is warmed up (There is no sound right after starting the engine). So I took it to the dealer and they said it is the sound of solenoid purging. Does solenoid purge either continuously or frequently (I mean at every stop sign)? I hear the sound much earlier when the weather is hot and later when it was raining or cool. I don't think the honda dealer really wanted to fix the problem since it is under warranty. If not, could any of you tell me waht is going on? Thanks in advance:frown: maxell101 10-13-2007, 01:08 PM Try to switch to higher octane of your next fueling! Hope it helps! jeffcoslacker 10-13-2007, 08:40 PM Fuel tank purge solenoid should only open when the motor is started, and occaisionally after that. Don't know what they are talking about. No check engine light I guess? Can you tell where in the car it comes from? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
