Hi,
I just bought a 1998 740il and it has television. I can get the sound but no picture. Anyone know why? Is the only way to buy an expensive audio module.

Try setting the parking brake.

I use to have a in dash TV and the installers said it was by law they had to install this safety mech that limited the veiwing to be viewable only if the parking brake was set. To bypass, I just loosened up the cable and set the brake just slightly on and it worked anytime I wanted. Of course if you get pulled over you may want to release that brake real quick.....
