I was driving home, car sputtered a little turning a corner, then proceeded to die on me. Had to tow it home. Cranks, but will not fire. It was actually cranking sort of fast, so thought it was the timing belt, but TDC marks lined up, so ruled that out. Getting spark and getting gas. I have a scanner, but it shows code 12, nothing wrong!!!! I am lost. I'm guessing it is one of the many sensors, but which one; help, what's a girl to do?????

Have you tested compression or cylinder leakage?

Welcome to AF

You need to check for basics here. 1st, what engine is in your car? 2nd, do you have spark and fuel pressure (41-44 psi at the rail key on/engine off).

Okay, here is what I have found. T he fuse box in the engine compartment; I took off the one marked fuel and there is no power going to it. I suppose there could be a loose wire, but I doubt that it will be something that simple; but I am on my way to check wires right now. I have turned to wiring diagrams and, wow, what a nightmare By the way, I did pull off the fuse cover for the fan and checked it, just to be sure I knew what I was doing and it did register on the meter..........so help??
