I don't know if it's just me but, for such a small clip it sure took a long time to load and it didn't show anything at all. It was all black.

It funny how a toyota supra has to be modded up soooo powerful just to beat a regular 355............the Ferrari i think is still more powerful then a supra.......imagine a really modded up ferrari against that supra! now goodbye supra!

hahah, there's not point of saying that..... because I bet that modded Supra that beat the Ferrari only cost like 1/2 the price of the Ferrari, but still beat it.
The F355 only has 380hp, and you can get a Supra over 400hp with not much more than 10-15k of mods
I bet you could make a 700hp Supra for under 100k, so you'd have a car with almost twice as much power as the Ferrari costing alot less than the Ferrari

Plus there aren't really any mods you can do to a Ferrari, they have to be custom

Hehe...I remember seeing that for the 1st time over a year ago. Except that i saw it from my friends video camera because he was rolling with the guy in the supra that night. The owner of the car has run a low 12sec before and his car is an auto. Also it does not take 10-15k to make 400rwhp out of a supra. With that mcuh money you would have a nice single or upgraded twin car. All you need is a straight 3in downpipe and some free mods if you want to do it the cheap way. All you have to do is pull some hoses to up the boost to 18psi and pull another hose to eliminate boost cut and you have basically 380rwhp to 410rwhp and a high 11sec to low 13sec depending on how good the driver is. To obtain what supra guys call bpu (basic performance upgrades) you need the dp, exhaust, either a manual boost contoller or electronic, and a bcc. That will cost you roughly 1500 bucks depending on the if you go with a manual boost contoller or electronic. With those mods a supra would be able to kill a f355 in a drag race. Also the driver was at bpu++ when he raced the ferrari. The pluses being a fmic and cam gears.

In the Japanese "Best Motoring" video series, there is a video of all the top race cars from the different divisions of Japanese GT racing.
Castrol TOM's Supra, Calsonic R34, Puma GTO, Shell Ferrari F355, and a little Honda Accord Type R that raced in the sports coupe series below JGTC. The funny thing is, the Accord and the Ferrari dragged, and the Accord pulled about 3-4 cars on it in the quarter. I know a Ferrari was not built for such a purpose, but it's funny as hell to watch an Accord whoop a Ferrari's ass. Then, on the road course, the Supra, Skyline, GTO, AND Accord all hand the Ferrari it's ass. This is not a stock Ferrari, but a race vehicle, mind you. I LOVE Ferrari's, but it was so cool to see cars with half and a quarter of the size motor that a ferrari does destroy it on the track, and seem to do it with ease.

That Supra may have beaten the F355, but c'mon which would you rather have parked in your garage at the end of the day??:D I've driven and rode in both cars and can tell you there is a HUGE difference in overall feel. As much as I love and respect the Supra there is nothing out there this side of a Diablo or McLaren (price wise) that touches a Ferrari. Plus the sound of the F355's V8 is intoxicating:bandit:

Sorry, I'd rather have my Black beauty of a supra in my garage @ the end of the day. Done the 360 Modena. SWEET ride, but i still love my Supra. It's too unique with only 12,3xx models produced. (1993.5-1998)

I'm sorry, but if you sit both cars side by side there is no comparison. I've ridden/driven both many times and it's not even close. The Supra is a great car no doubt, but it's such a pig weight wise and size wise and the lines are bland compared to the F355. It's really easy/cheap to make the Supra fast though which is sweet. Speaking of modding a Ferrari...the guy who invented the game engine for the Doom series has a twin turbo Testarossa or might be an F50 I forget. Anyway though it's a monster and he apparently drives it all the time. Koenig also makes a twin turbo conversion of the F50 which puts out around 1200hp or so. Not too shabby in my book :sun:

I think it's funny that you're stupid enough to believe that. The f355 does about 12.9 stock vs the supras 13.3. Give the Supra a $50 cheap ass boost controller and it would win.

You can get a supra to 450HP for like $1,200 and you can get it to 1000hp for like $20,000. $100,000 would be like a 2500hp full drag supra.

There is more to a car than its 1/4 mile times. The Ferrari is still the best.

Only a fool, or someone that can't afford the Ferrari, or an Asian person would buy the Supra.

Well no shit...that wasn't the point at all. The f355 has CLASS and will rape a supra on a track. Yeh see, the thing is you can get an NA supra with a shitload of miles for like $12,000 and throw a JDM 2jzgte for like $3,000. The cheapest of the cheap f355s are like $75,000 and ferraries aren't too reliable with high mileage. Maintaining it is also a bitch. I would have to drive 2 hours to orlando so a ferrari tech could do maintenence on my car. It's a hassle that I'm not even sure I'd be willing to go through.

Well, yeah...but it's not even that. I inherited a lot of money from my great grandpa...waaaay more then enough to buy an f355 for my first car BUT I don't want a hassle. I'm getting an NSX probably with a downforce.biz gt1 kit and a bunch of mods. I could get the ferrari...but screw it. It's not all that fast, parts are nearly impossible to find and an NSX handles better.

I'd preffer the NSX's aluminum body to a Supra, much much better car all around.

spending 100,000 bucks on a Ferrari is worthless if u want a fast fast car. If u have that kinda money soop up a Supra TT with the 100g. im pretty sure if ANY TT Supra owner had 100g to spend on, they wuld burn those Ferraris like candy

Yes, it would BUT a Supra withh 100g's under the hood would have like 2,000 HP and would be nowhere near streetable. Ferrari's are fast and some are really fast. Almost all of them handle VERY well. The big thing about Ferrari's is they have A LOT more class then most cars. They're also a big attention grabber.

If you can afford a (nice) Ferrari, honestly, :gives: if it's not as fast a Supra.

Denso Supra, i agree. if u have a Japan's modded Supra, not jus for drag, but those serious racing races, im pretty sure a Supra could beat a Ferrari.

That would all depend on the driver. The SCCA has a division for Ferrari's and cars like that and there are Supras racing in that class but I'm sure they're HIGHLY modified. Then again, with some coilovers and good tires, the Supra can pull more then 1g on the skidpad which is pretty damn good.

Having driven a number of Ferraris including the Testarosa's and mkiii and iv Supras I can safely say that the mkiv Supra is far superior. The inline 6 engine with sequential twin turbos can easily take most Ferraris (excluding the f1 and f50) at the mid to high end with £1000 mods (thats $1500 to you yanks), This is achieved because of the second sequential turbo kicking in which means boost at high end which is rare.
The handling on the ferraris is good as there is good feed back and super low suspension, having said that the Supra can hold the track impressively.

The Supra (as any Supra driver knows) is a drivers car, the Ferrari is a newbie drivers car who wants to be a driver or for the older gentlemen trying to get those young blonds in the passengers seat and making a complete ass of themselves. I can honestly say that you get much more respect with a Supra than with a Red.

A properly modified Supra will handle better then any ferrari including the Enzo and F50. You can then also modify the Enzo and F50 to handle better then the Supra. Well...at least as far as the skidpad goes. Supra's don't come with sequential turbos. The only car I can even think of that does is a 3rd gen RX7.

Here's my take on all this... if you want a car that you can drive daily, abuse it, take it to the races and drive it home afterwards then get a supra. I own a 800hp MKIII I bought it like that from this dude that got into motorcycles (hehehe his loss) he sold it to me for 9,000dlls.
I've beaten porshes, NSXs, MKiv supras, Mercedes, vipers, ferraris and a shitload of Civics. (I take it to the track every month or so)
(my funniest memory is about this dork that thought the corvette was the fastest and best car of the world.... needless to say I bursted his little bubble)
Anyways, I take the car to a local shop for service and pay what any other person pays :P
what I've heard from the drivers of the Ferraris specially is that most of them drive like poop after a good old day of racing. or need to be put on a flatbed and towed home. Heck, sometimes they won't make it through the day!
I in the other hand can drive it home and come back the next month for another good session of racing without replacing the clutch and stuff.
(currently looking for a busted MKIV, anyone knows of one?)
So my take is...... Supras are better cars in quality and fun. They are fun and will last you a LONG time. Pus, people that know about cars will most certainly notice you. Ferraris on the other hand are good for posing... will only get the attention of people that don't know about cars and of women who want to hook up with some rich boy for his money (not the kind of woman I would want)
Currently I've been beaten by an MR2, a viper (twice), a 240SX modded (out for more mods), a ferrari F430 Spyder once (I slipped on the clutch), and many times by a heavely modded yellow MKIV owned by my good friend Jeff......
