I do almost everything on flash actually. Depending on the pieces I use the gradient tool.But, it's mostly the paint bucket tool.

I really like your style of using object/shapes to define parts of toon,
instead of using bold lineart with color fill.
Great work, you have inspried me to try some toons with less lineart.

Here's my newest.Mazda 5. I don't feel good about it, but whatever...
I'm often having problems with clear front lights.With the shadowing/reflection and all.I have to practice a way to keep them simple.
I re-worked the lights a bit, and added a effect on the second picture.

The overall shape looks good. Maybe try exaggerating the fender flares a bit more.
They don't seem to fit right with the current body proportions.

The head lights look good, the "hot spot" glare hides the detailing which
makes it harder to see the clear lenses.
Maybe do a toon with just the parking/driving lights on and then show more of the clear head light lenses/details.

That's why I inserted a Lens flare. I really didn't like the way the lights looked. I try to fixed them a couple of days ago. Seems a bit better. I also tried your idea of corner lights.

I like the lights in the new top image without flares now.
There's enough sky reflection to see the clear cover over the actual headlights.

The "hard" line art effect of the second one seems to lose a bit of
what I see as your style in the earlier toons.
It's still good, just different.

I was having fun in photoshop.I won't draw them like that however. I wanted to see something different with the cars and that came out !
