05 Neon start/Won't run

Hi All,
I'm new here and have searched back through the threds and not found anyone with my prblem so...... I hope some of you can help.
I went to start my car to go to work, it started normal then I heard a pop (like a water baloon hitting a wall) and it guit. I tried restarting and it would crank but would not run until I kept my foot on the gas. As soon as I would lift my foot it would not idle on its own and would die. Hopped in wifes vehicle and went to work. Next morning went out checked under hood , everything seems to be right, no leaks etc. tried starting and it started ,ran and idled fine been ok for 3 days now BUT am worried about it. Local dealer wouldn't even give price for hooking up to computer Car is still under warrenty BUT with my luck problem is not and I don't have $s to pay So please help, Thanks G.W.

sounds maybe like a misfire? backfire? caused the comp to shut down on itself? i dunno man.. thast weird

also, if you take it to autozone/checkers/shucks, they will scan your car for FREE.

If your car is still under warrenty and your dealer will not even look for free I would look for a new dealer for my next car.

I had a problem like that with my O3 Neon. It turned out to be the CAM Shaft Alignment Sensor.
