Anyone driven it? Hoping to myself sometime soon.

I can't believe it has a 268 hp optional v6. I'm more curious about the 190 hp EX.

My dad is gonna be pissed. his '06 TL is only 258. wonder what Acura will do about that.

Driven it? I wish. I haven't even seen any promotions for it. The 268 hp is necessary to keep up with Nissan which has put honda to shame in hp ratings since forever and keeps raising the bar of what's acceptable for a 'family sedan'. Acura generations run a year after the Hondas so I'm sure we can expect an 09 TL with 300 hp

When are they gonna give us something other than FWD. All that power really doesn't mean anything because the computer won't let you use it. I pray that the TL isn't FWD. 300hp FWD is just pointless.

I Just looked on the Honda site and we still have another month till it goes on sale.

I don't see any rwd or awd accords coming to showrooms any time soon. Putting power to the rear doesn't fit with the family sedan image that has made the accord the breadwinner for the Honda family since the 80's. You're not suposed to do burnouts while you get the groceries :nono:

EDIT- I just realized you said TL and not Accord. RWD would definitely be nice for the TL but SH-AWD is way more likely since its already in use for the RL. Maybe the CL will come back to add awd or rwd. I miss the CL-S :(

I guess the extra power is just for passing? FWD burnouts with groceries FTW

Am I the only one here that has raced with groceries in the trunk? I have done it twice. I just forgot they were there. What a mess. :o

I heard the 2008 Accord supposed to have top of the line model available - I mean top of the top of the line. Can't wait to see the final version of coupe and sedan.

Preview (http://autos.msn.com/advice/article.aspx?contentid=4024971) My take on the accord from the happy hour thread

I just looked at the accord and just like every new generation of hondas, I don't like it now and it will grow on me in the future. Front end is ok but looks like a combo Altima/Volvo S70.

The rear on the coupe seems to be stolen directly from the current Civic Si with a bit of Dodge Charger slabishness included... and the Accord badge looks much better on the right.

The sedan has an akward transition from rear doors to trunk to lights

and as usual the taillights are shitty on the first half of the generation and will probably be improved in 2010  And the chrome door handles are gaudy imo.

I'm diggin that color on the coupe. The sedan still looks funky to me but the rims/tint helps

That white sedan screams lil baby M5.

That body kit on the coupe looks like hell. I hope that stays on the test mule.
