questions about motor 1975 250ci 08-24-2007, 09:07 PM
I recently inherited a 1978 chevy truck with a 1975 250ci straight 6 in it(nova motor). after attempting to rebuild the carb, I have decided to purchase a new one and just try to forget about these headaches. my question is... what are my best options as far as driveability, and reliability? i have friends trying to talk me into 4 barrels and such but i think that just may be over kill. some model numbers would be nice too if you have them handy. let me know your experiences with aftermarket carbs be them good or bad. thanks in advance. reed bobss396 09-12-2007, 10:03 AM Unless you are doing other work to the engine that would include an intake manifold change, just get a new carb for it. Those are cheap enough for a 6-banger so you may as well splurge. See what Holley has for it if you want something different. Just make sure it comes with a choke package and will bolt up to your manifold. Bob Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
