Hi, I'm wondering whether or not a 1997 Honda Accord EX (2.7L V6) with 183,000 miles is worth $3,900? 183,000 miles is ALOT of miles regardless if it's a Honda or not. This is probably the wrong place to ask if I should buy this vehicle (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2077793#), being as the answers may be a little biased, but, will this car (mainly the engine and transmission) last?

With standard options in good condition, KBB puts it at about $4350.

So the price is good...

Don't know anything about the v6's durability, so can't help you there...

I bought a 96 Accord EX with 180000 miles. I dropped $300 in parts only and paid $3,000.00 for the car. It's a 4 cilynder (VTEC) and manual transmission. There is still few issues with the car still. I need to clean the EGR valve or replace it and the driver's side window does not roll down. I am very please the way this car handles. It runs smooth; however, there is multiple dings and scratches throughout the car but it's overall looks is still decent.

Let me add that I did most of the repairs with the help of members of these forums. Drive the car and if you like the way it handles then is a good buy. Or better yet, have your mechanic inspected before buying it. Just remember, it is a 9 year old car.

If I had a chose I would buy it see I have a 95 Accord (2.2 Vtec) and i paid only 4,000 for minds with only 101,235 miles. Also paid out 1200 more dollar in performance parts and paint job etc. So i would say yes to getting that accord.
