Jetta 2000 1.8T no forward or reverse when hot specialist 08-20-2007, 09:56 PM
Hi everyone, I need help with a vw jetta 2000 1.8 t.When the cars is cold and start driving,no problem, when the car is hot it won't go forward nor backward untill it cools again and it starts drive normally. No trouble codes found in transmission module.Found 3 fault codes in engine module,17521,16804,16795. Does anyone has or has hear of this problem before? thanks, 2001jettavr6 08-21-2007, 01:56 AM is it overheating? because an engine will shut off most of its abilities to run and drive it the computer thinks it will harm itself. try flushing the radiator to see if you had any clogs or if its really dirty. refill it and run it and see if it gives you the same problem at idle temp. veedubmechanic 08-26-2007, 11:17 PM Sounds like the transmission fluid is very low. specialist 08-27-2007, 01:26 PM Sounds like the transmission fluid is very low. not only fluid level is ok but the transmission has been fully overhauled and it remains the same.I was thinking of the transmission fluid temperature sensor. thanks, specialist 08-27-2007, 01:30 PM is it overheating? because an engine will shut off most of its abilities to run and drive it the computer thinks it will harm itself. try flushing the radiator to see if you had any clogs or if its really dirty. refill it and run it and see if it gives you the same problem at idle temp.
