Hi all,

my girlfriend drives a 95 Accord EX, 5-speed manual, about 120,000 miles. The car's A/C does work to some extent but doesn't blow very cold -- just slightly cool. I've taken some readings, and this is what i've come up with, so far (all readings taken after engine has been idling for at least 10 minutes, windows up, recirc on):

Ambient temperature: ~90 F
Low pressure side: 35 psi
High pressure side: 240 psi
Vent temperature: 69.5 F

These pressures seemed reasonable to me. What else should I check? There isn't anything obvious obstructing the radiator and condenser, and both the A/C and cooling fan work properly.

Thanks all.

If the lines are sweating and cold on the low side and you're getting readings like that, I'd think there's a problem with the heater control valve or the blend door actuator...

make sure you haven't got a core box half full of cindensation from a blocked drain too...they don't get much airflow under water :)

Okay, I will check the drain. Thanks for the tip.

The low pressure line does sweat, but does not feel that cold...warmer than the Ford Explorer that I drive.

If I put too much refrigerant in the system, can it start to "pool up" inside the evaporator? Is this a common problem?
