Help! I've gone thru the trouble of replacing my timing belt and other parts and now I can't get the crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) back on. I've searched the internet, this forum and one other and can't find anyone in my position. I rented a puller from autozone but they don't have an installer. Bought an installer from NAPA and it was the wrong type.

I know now that I could have replaced the belt without removing the pulley but found out too late. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At risk for giving you this answer, it is the only soluton I have. Have you tried the www.300mclub.org? They have the best chance to help you out.

Searched the 300M Club for several hours and found lots of info on timimg belt changing but little on the crank pulley.

Solved the problem today after weeks of nothing. I made my own installer and it was easy. Bought a M12 x 1.75 bolt about 4 inches in length, a nut, a washer, and a thrust bearing. Total cost: $8.00 Success factor: priceless!

chrysler does have an installer (miller tool) dont remmember the number off the top of my head but you can get one from any chrysler dealer may take a couple of weeks or get one from snap on or mac or matco. a longer bolt works great and is alot cheaper.
