Drivers seat switches

1994 Buick RM Limited

Two of the chrome plated plastic swiths on the drivers side seat for controlling the recliner and lumbar support seem to have poped off and I can not find them. (see pic below)

I couldn't locate a part number at gmpartsdirect.com. Does anyone happen to know the part number?

I don't have the part numbers but might know where to get them. Do you know anybody who owns or works for a bodyshop? If so they might get what is called the Mitchell Collision Manual. It is a book that comes out every so often and is a guide for body shops to do estimating work by giving part numbers and time estimates for repairs. I discovered these about 15 years ago while working in a shop that had a small body shop attached. I paged through one and was amazed at the wealth of info one of these books contains. You can get every practical part number you need for your car. In fact, if you're ever on eBay, check out the Buick Roadmaster auction pages as sometimes I see pages from these manuals up for auction. The seller actually separates the book by each model then sells the corresponding pages on eBay. I've purchased these pages in the past for some of my other vehicles, and they only run about $3 to $5 a set with shipping. Not bad for a valuable set of informative pages to help the car owner search out parts if they own their vehicle for quite some time, or are restoring it. I think the RM is in the "Collision Guide - Estimating & Reference (Domestic Older Models)" which covers 1978 to 1998. Once you get the part number(s) from the manual all you need to do is look or call around to see who might have them.
Another thing you could do is search your local salvage yards for those items. You might not find any RMs in their inventory, but a quick call to them might confirm the fact. Ask them if they are on a locator network. If they are they can check other yards in the area to see if any of them may have the parts you need. Good luck!
