Sparkplugs mrmartin23 08-10-2007, 12:25 PM
I need to replace the sparkplugs in my formula and wanted to ask what you guys recommend. My wires and distrubitor are all new (<1 year) so that should be ok. Thanks. wrightz28 08-10-2007, 01:41 PM I stick with what the General ordered, AcDelco. Morley 08-10-2007, 03:53 PM Bosch platinum plugs...foul out in a few hundred miles Champion...weak ceramic insulators that break easily Autolite....Ford plugs in a Chevy engine??? No way. Splitfire....snake oil, no benefit or gains just lots of $$ AC-Delco plain resistor plugs..cheap and what the mfg recommends. ikeyballz 08-10-2007, 06:34 PM i use NGK coppers.. works fine for me, its cheaper and easier to get the ACdelcos for me..so i gues sif you can get those might as well.. but NGK coppers dont foul and so far have been great. (a year or so..) mrmartin23 08-13-2007, 09:33 AM Thank you all for answering. Looks like AC Delco for me. ikeyballz 08-13-2007, 08:12 PM i should try those.. never have used em in my maro. used ngk iridiums, champion copper, NGK plat, bosch +4, bosch plat.. i gotta do a spark plug change soon..when i save up enopugh $ :( stupid school and the drain on my $$.. mrmartin23 08-16-2007, 10:43 PM Anyone have an opinion on these? Kinda expensive but the write up review on them was good. NOLOGY-SILVERSTONE SPARK PLUG - With Large Diameter Silver Center Electrode, Performance Non Supressor Design, 137% More Spark Power Increases Horsepower ikeyballz 08-16-2007, 11:42 PM never tried them..i would rather trust something that is proven, but if you want, you should try em, and then after a few months, try different plugs.see if you can feel a difference. wrightz28 08-17-2007, 09:35 AM Gimmicks, all of them, other than the NGK, I've never ran 'em bu thave heard good things as a runner up to Ac's.
