87 5th Avenue A/C issue

Car belongs to a family member so I'm not too familiar with it. I've charged lots of AC over the years but this one looks a little funky. Has a port right on the compressor and another to the left on a can. Which one is the low side? Needs a charge and I sure don't want to hook to the high side.
