1993 Buick Skylark 3.3 L Ignition problem.

Lots of cranking.......changed coils and mojo.....checked all fuses (which are good)......no sparks..fuel pump doesn't work either (ex. ignition shouldn't you hear the fuel pump for at least 10 seconds?)

We think it might be the Fuel Pump Cut off Switch...but we can't seem to find it...looked under the hood, trunk, underneath, passenger side, etc.

Any Idea where it could be located? or even if that's the problem?

Welcome Aboard!

The "Fuel Pump Cut off Switch" can be found by looking at a Ford. You won't find one on your Buick.

The fuel pump is controlled by the fuel pump relay and an auxiliary oil pressure switch. The ECM controls the fuel pump relay and the oil pressure switch closes at 6 PSIG. The ECM will operate the relay for TWO seconds when the ignition is first turned on (provided the ignition has been off for at least 20 seconds), and will again operate the relay any time there are distributor reference pulses from the ICM.

There is also a fuel pump prime connector under the hood. You can apply battery voltage to this connector and the pump should run so long as the relay is installed and intact, since the prime circuit is completed through the normally closed contacts of the fuel pump relay.

The prime connector is on a single red wire extending out of the main engine harness. The connector is near the firewall, behind the left front wheel opening.
