Hey,

I have a Sierra diesel 97 4x4. I've been looking on google to find the user guide but I can't find it...

So my question is how do i engage on 4x4 Low.

at the rear there is 4WD Hi and 2WD Hi. But I don't know how to engage it in 4WD LOW. I have to go through a kind of neutral but if i try to engage on it it make an horrible squeaking sound, like when you try to shift on reverse gear on a manual car while moving ...

Welcome to the forum. 4lo should be all the way forward. To put it in 4lo you must put your trans in netural, moving at about 1mph. Hope this helps.

Note-Shift fast, don't do it slowly! One fast sure motion, you will get the hang of it after a few times. Shitf trans to neutral and push the lever all the way forward.

Some grinding is normal and if you do it right, you won't get any

I indeed tried to move it slowly while not moving hehe..

Glad to help. BTW you we lucky to get a truck with manual shift t-case in stead of electronic. You are better off this way.

I have owned both and find nothing negative about the push button shift or as in the new body style, dial a shift. Those who prefer a floor shift are just old fashioned. LOL

Owned many 4x4 truck dating back to 1972 when I made a big mistake and bought my first and only Furd. 3 yrs of nothing but problems and traded it in on a new 1975 Blazer.

I have owned both and find nothing negative about the push button shift or as in the new body style, dial a shift. Those who prefer a floor shift are just old fashioned. LOL

Just wait until you have to replace a t-case motor or those buttons. The t-case motors start at $300.00 new.
