99 Grand Prix GTP? Clark_24_2k1 11-11-2002, 11:05 AM
I'm thinking about buying this '99 Grand Prix GTP for $9995. Do you think its worth it or does it seem like a rip off. I really don't know what these cars run for. titus377 11-21-2002, 07:49 PM Well, depending upon options and miles. But I paid 15,500 for mine about 3 months ago, with 37000 miles, leather, sun roof, and hi polished wheels. Scott 02 12-22-2002, 06:56 AM Worth it good deal :) leadfootGTP 07-02-2004, 05:47 PM i donno man i just got a 99 gtp in great shape (got 90k, but dude took damn good care ov it) runs like its new, and i got it fer 7500 w/ ALL the available options fer a 99 stlwagon 07-02-2004, 07:42 PM I paid $8900 for my 99 with 59,000 mi. I'd say $9995 is a pretty good deal. But recommend you take it to a mechanic you trust. I did with mine and he found the rear main was leaking. Took it back to the dealer and they repaired under the 30 day warranty ($1500). It was worth the $62 I paid to know what I was getting into. GTPgirl 07-04-2004, 02:51 PM I gave $8600 for my '99 GTP, loaded to the gills, 94K miles, but the car had been taken good care of. The $8600 was payoff on the car. And I just take my mechanic with me, since my mechanic is my dad. leadfootGTP 07-05-2004, 01:46 PM blue book on a 99 gtp wit 94k is only $7200 w/ all features just so u kno GTPgirl 07-05-2004, 05:36 PM I doubt that, because Blue Book on my '97 with 161K miles and all features was 7600. The insurance company that had to pay me for my '97 gave me $7200 for it. So I think the '99 would be a little bit higher. Engine: V6 3.8L Supercharged Trans: Automatic Drive: Front Wheel Drive Mileage: 94,000 Equipment Air Conditioning Power Steering Power Windows Power Door Locks Tilt Wheel Cruise Control AM/FM Stereo Single Compact Disc Dual Front Air Bags ABS (4-Wheel) Leather Power Seat Sliding Sun Roof Rear Spoiler Premium Wheels Retail Value $10,085 That's the kelley blue book pricing report on my car. Go to www.kbb.com if you want to check it yourself. s_jo4 07-05-2004, 11:51 PM if i were ya'll i'ld not shop by the retail value of the car, it's way high and you're a fool to pay that price. if anything go by the trade in value it's always lower at kbb.com than nada. if you can get a car w/in the trade-in value i'ld say you got a good deal, anything else is unacceptable. i know, i'm the one dealer's hate to see when i walk in the showroom floor. i shop for myself and i do the shopping for other people to find them the best deals around and i'll drive a dealer into the ground on a sale and if they won't do it i'll gladly walk out. leadfootGTP 07-06-2004, 08:05 PM check again 7200 was just a guess, but at kbb.com 99 2dr gtp w/ 94K - 6,300 - 7,800 i donno how u got 10k, but thats way too high fer a 99 gtp. make sure ur looking at the private party value, not the retail value. But somebody else go there, though, mabe im doin something wrong www.kbb.com sorry if im just retarted and doing it wrong if the car has been taken care of well, the blue book is actually often lower than what its worth though leadfootGTP 07-06-2004, 08:42 PM the retail value on my gtp was over 10gs, and i onll paid 7.5 fer it lakerfan1784 07-06-2004, 10:30 PM this thread started 1 and a half years ago... no point in trying to convince the author... 10 grand wouldnt have been high in 2002... it would be now s_jo4 07-06-2004, 11:38 PM rofl, how'd it pop up so recently lakerfan1784 07-06-2004, 11:48 PM leadfootGTP bumped it leadfootGTP 07-07-2004, 02:34 PM my bad haha i didnt look at the date thought it was new lakerfan1784 07-07-2004, 09:09 PM no problems, honest mistake leadfootGTP 07-07-2004, 09:10 PM 2 years ago 8.6g fer a 99 gtp woulda been a pretty fat deal kustomkid54 07-12-2004, 08:26 PM I just bought another 1998 GTP, loaded, with 54000 miles on it for $5,400.00. Sun roof, heated seats, CD, honey comb rims, ect. If I can find another at that price, I will have three. Look around, there out there. leadfootGTP 07-12-2004, 08:55 PM thah thts a good deal man, 98 gtps are a great idea if you want a gtp but dont have much money to spare. the price for 99 and above tends to jump up a surprising amount from the 98s because pontiac made some improvements tht year, but the 98s are still great cars kustomkid54 07-12-2004, 09:07 PM The last time I looked in the "barn" there was a 1966 GTO (11,000 miles on her) a 1997 GT,two 1998 GTPs and a 2004 GTP. I like the 66 the best. But the 1998 is fun to drive. Turns a lot of heads. Take care leadfootGTP 07-12-2004, 10:49 PM sweet, u should put up sum pics v tha 66 gto, thts a fat car Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
