i just bought a 86 toyota pickup with the 22r engine. I noticed it was leaking oil, upon further inspection, ifound that it is coming from the carb. I opened up the air cleaner and there was oil standing in the bottom of it ,and the filter was covered in it as well. There is a hose coming from the front of the valve cover that goes into the air cleaner. It is coming from the valve cover through that hose. I took the hose off and started the truck and there is alot of pressure coming from the valve cover. Just wondered if anybody has expereinced this.
thanks, mark

Ive heard that a bad PCV valve can cause this type of thing so you might try changing that, its only like $5. The PCV valve is easy to change its located at the top of your valve cover.

There should be a baffle inside the valve cover where the hose is to help prevent that. Could be a problem there, but more than likely your engine is so worn that it's more than it can handle.
