My first post here, CEL came on and I pulled a code 41 and a 43. I found cam sensor, but the details in my Haynes manual do not show where the knock sensor is located for my specific engine. It is a 1988 Delta 88 Royale Braugham 3800 V6. Can anyone tell me where the knock sensor is located, or possibly provide a link to factory engine spec.s for my car online? Thanks!!

Thanks marc-o-matic, it is a 1988 3800 V6. It is not under throttle body. When you say "lower right corner of engine block" I assume drivers side, firewall side. I will look there tonight after work, I remember the exhaust and some tranny lines, etc. being back there, so hopefully will find it. Would it be best to look from underneath - or from the top?? Thanks again - I truly appreciate this. kurt

I'm don't know if the 1988's have a knock sensor. Isn't code 41 for Cam Sensor & code 43 for Electronic Spark Control?

Code 43 is electronic spark control, and when I read further into the diagnosis, it also points to knock sensor. I know how to replace sensors, but the electronic spark control is not supposed to be repairable (like a points/distributor ignition), so i want to check connections to knoock sensor if I can. I am still wondering why it would throw a 41 and 43 together. Thanks for your responses.
